The Mayor of Tonbridge & Malling has opened our new tea rooms.

Forged from the old, unloved and mostly unused day room, the tea room has all the appearance of a 1950s vintage tea room. "It is designed to promote reminiscence and nostalgia with its murals, vintage crockery and memorabilia from this era. It is good the tea room can be used by all patients and their families, but especially those people living with dementia to promote nutrition, hydration and to be an aide memoire for them" (from the flyer).

At the launch, on 27 September 2021, we were entertained during the day by local musician Tom Carradine and fed and watered by the salvation army. The Mayor and Mayoress later enjoyed tea in our new tea room.
