THE COTTAGE CLUB
You can help raise funds for the Tonbridge Cottage Hospital by joining the Cottage Club (registered charity no. 230537), which will put you into our monthly draw for a £100 prize. Cottage Club Terms and Conditions

- These Terms and Conditions are The Cottage Club Rules. By entering the club, entrants agree to be bound by these rules.
- The Cottage Club is being promoted by and on behalf of Tonbridge Cottage Hospital League of Friends (TCHLOF). Monies raised by the club will support the work of TCHLOF, Registered Charity No 230537.
- For the purpose of the Gambling Act 2005, the club is defined as a ‘Society Lottery.’
- The club is run under the license held by TCHLOF.
- To enter the club, you must be resident in mainland Great Britain and aged 16 (sixteen) or over. UK law states that no entries can be sold by a person under the age of 16. No entries can be bought by or on behalf of a person under the age of 16. If an entry is sold to, or bought on behalf of a person under the age of 16 they will be exempt from the club and their entries money will be returned and they will not be awarded any prize.
- There will be one monthly cash prize winner although additional prizes could be offered from time to time.
- Each club entry costs £1.
- All club entry sales are final and no refunds shall be made at any time. All entrants acknowledge that their payment of £1 per ticket to enter the club does not guarantee that they will win any prize.
- The draw for prizes will be made monthly on 1st of each month or as soon as practically possible thereafter. You do not need to be present at the draw to win the lottery. However, a list of winning numbers will be available.
- When a cash prize is awarded, this will be made by cheque in the name of the entrant only.
- TCHLOF reserves the right in exceptional and unforeseen circumstances to substitute any of the non cash prizes for a similar prize at TCHLOF’s absolute discretion.
- Full payment for each entry must be received either in the form of cash or cleared funds before that entry can be included in the draw. Only entries for which full payment has been received are eligible to win the prize.
- The winners of the club’s prizes will be notified by letter.
- All entrants are solely responsible for providing TCHLOF with their accurate and up-to-date contact details and TCHLOF will be in no way liable for any failure or inability to contact any entrant due to any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the contact details that the entrants has provided. In the event that an entrant changes their contact details, they will be solely responsible for advising TCHLOF of the change. Prizes which the club cannot deliver because we do not have accurate details or which remain uncashed will go to supporting the work of TCHLOF.
- Each entry number is unique. A randomly selected entry number will be issued to players in their confirmation letter.
- Club membership can be cancelled at any time by notifying TCHLOF in writing, by phone or via email.
- TCHLOF shall not be liable to the member for any loss or damage suffered or arising from:
• Any delays or failures in the postal service or other delivery methods used by TCHLOF or the member from time to time.
• Any delays or failures in any software or other systems used by TCHLOF for the administration of the club.
• Any delays or failures in the banking system used by TCHLOF or the member.
• Any refusal by TCHLOF to accept registration of an individual as a member or the cancellation of a member.
• Any failure to enter a chance into the draw.
• Any event beyond the reasonable control of TCHLOF. - Nothing within these terms and conditions shall create or should be construed as creating any form of contract between any entrant and TCHLOF.
- Any complaints relating to the club should be sent in writing to TCHLOF giving full details of the complaint and supporting documentation.
- TCHLOF is committed to protecting members’ privacy. Data that is collected from a member is used lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and is used for the purpose of processing club draw chances, subsequent entry into the draw and informing winners that they have won a prize. TCHLOF may also write to supporters about other aspects of its work.
- Any member has the right to access the information held about them. To obtain this information, please contact TCHLOF in writing.
- In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, the decision of TCHLOF shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
- TCHLOF reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. If TCHLOF does this, it will publish the amended rules on its website.
- TCHLOF reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these rules.
- TCHLOF is licensed with Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council to operate this prize draw, under the Local Society Lottery Registration Number 43 LOTT.
- TCHLOF shall not be liable to you in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise for any indirect or consequential loss suffered by you in relation to your participation in the club (including loss of the opportunity to enter the club and/or the chance of winning a prize).
- Each entrant should retain a copy of these Terms and Conditions for their reference.

- A copy of these rules may be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to TCHLOF at the address below requesting a printed copy.
- The Laws of England and Wales shall govern the interpretation and/or enforcement of these Terms and Conditions and TCHLOF and all entrants hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
- TCGLOF reserves the right to stop the Club by giving one month’s written notice to all registered players. Any funds received in advance for monthly draws taking place after the closure date will be returned to players within 60 days.
- Members of the TCHLOF who are involved directly on the production of the lottery and members of their households are ineligible to enter this lottery. Any entries bought in the name of such TCHLOF members or members of their households will be rejected from the draw and considered as donations to TCHLOF.
